A true collaborative effort, Studio Florals was created by every member of the Liberty design studio. Using fluid brushstrokes, each flower emerges as an impression, either drawn from memory or inspired by photographs from research trips to gardens across the country. Designed as a large-scale repeat pattern, this communal canvas unfolds in monochromatic ink, capturing diverse floral forms through expressive mark-making and line-drawn silhouettes. A garden imagined, painted, and grown together – the Liberty way. This print is part of the first chapter in this collection, Story Garden, which explores the narratives that are woven in and around cultivated botanical spaces, taking inspiration from historic pleasure grounds and wartime victory gardens - highlighting humanity’s necessity for community and finding solace through nature.
